The Southern California Linux Expo, or SCALE, is a small but growing (when compared to some of the more mainstream ones) Linux conference held every year around February in Los Angeles. I’ve written about it before. It’s a great way to learn about the latest goings-on in the Linux and Open Source community, and is well attended by “suits” and “techs” alike.
This year, SCALE is moving from its former facility, the LAX Airport Marriott, into a new, bigger one, the LAX Airport Hilton, due to the phenomenal growth that SCALE has experienced over the past few years. The new digs are allowing them to add another conference track dedicated to Linux system administration, and is also allowing them to expand expo floor space by a much-needed 20%.
The fine folks at SCALE asked me to put together a promo video for the show. I present it below for your enjoyment.
